351 coolant in oil
ok im new here but just wanted your guys opinions. i drove my car yesterday and noticed something ticking in the bay. it ends up being the fan was wobbling, i got home took the fan out and the hub on the water pump was sticking out and pretty much fell apart, i checked my oil and to my suprise there is some white residue which can only mean water!! now my question is since the engine was running fine until i got home can the water do enough damage to where i need to take it apart and rebuild it? cuz thatsa pain right now cuz im on a budget..unless there is someone in the area with a short block for cheap

it has like white stuff when i check the dipstick and wipe it with my finger. a coworker of mine tells me since i has no hood on it and its been sitting for a while it might just be moisture. i also poped the breather cap on the valve cover and it has that white milky stuff all over it

that's definetly water mixed with the oil. It's possible moisture has been getting into it, but running the motor at normal temps for about 15 minutes should be enough to evaporate it all. check your coolant level, you might have a blown head gasket or something else letting coolant into your oiling system
