Default Is this going to be streetable?

Im picking up a brand new 408W in SC saturday. 3500dollars and my procharger is getting it. its got brodix 225 heads, berry grant 850 demon carb, harland sharp shaft mount rr 1.6, melidon 8qt pan, main girdle, head studs, valve girdle, eldabrock intake ported to the brodix heads... motor made 500hp with a 560lift cam at 5000RPM... my pops wants to put a 660 custom grind cam in the motor and turn it up about 65-6700rpm, witch would give it probably 600hp... with this motor being 11.6 compression, is this 660 lift cam going to be way to big ? Im wanting to run 93octane. I will be bolting a 2-400hp nitrous kit up to this motor. Im wanting to run 9's 10.0's and street drive it to shows and crusie around on nice days...

by the way the guy was putting this motor in a really tiny car about 2200lb's this is why the cam was small and only turning the motor 5grand... it also made 540lb torque at 4600rpm..

heres a picture of the motor on the stand..

also is there anyway at all to tell a 302 from a 351W? part number or anything? because when i get down there im pulling the oil pan off and it would be nice to have part number to look up on the block. I just want to be cautious. Thanks guys...

man that motor is sexy lookin and congrats on the find and as far as streetable with the bigger cam it is not gonna be very street friendly and as far as fuel wise running 11.5 your gonna want to run like some 100 octane or more and especially as u said your gonna be running some gas on it.

i have a 2 buddys that are actually brothers and 1 one has a 68 stang with a 357 windsor big cam heads, vic jr,blah blah and the pistons and such are about 11.9 to 1 and it does not like to run very good on 93 so he mixes half 114 with 93 and it does alright but with the strait 114 it rips...

keep us posted on the motor and we want some videos when shes running...

didnt see the bottom question till now. and as far as numbers u could google to find out.

and as far as telling a 302 block from a 351 is i look at the water pump mounting holes and 302's are just below the deck and the 351's are 1 1 1/2 inches below the deck and from that picture it looks to be a windsor block...

If you bought a 351w intake for the engine and it fit its a 351. Sorry but how can you build an engine and not know what it is.....

It is a windsor, BUT that doesnt mean its a 408. As far as streetability goes, MOST people don't have the actual compression they think they have. IF it is actually 11.6 then it will take a very good camshaft guy to get it to run on pump gas, picking some junk off the shelf and it will not like 93 octane at all, not to mention pulling alot of timing out of it, thus killing any benefits of the compression

Are you saying you are putting a SC on this thing also? + N2O with 11.6 compression? If you are you better rethink everything.
