Default Questions about 2.3L to 5.8L swap

Ok, I am kicking around the idea of dropping a 351W and AODE from a 92 bronco into my 4cyl based 92 mustang. I know what I need to get for a V8 swap and what I need to make the 5.8 fit into the engine bay. Just to make sure I didn't leave anything out I need;
wiring harness(i have)
ECU
tranny crossmember
8.8 rear
larger brakes
larger rims to make room for the brakes(I have some, unless I go 5lug)
driveshaft
oil pan
A/C, PS relocation bracket
bigger radiator
instrument cluster
springs, shocks and struts
subframe connectors
either a new hood or K-member(or both if I can manage)

Anything else I missed??

My biggest question is what ECU to use and will the AODE fit without too much trouble? Can I use the bronco wiring and ECU? If not I have a mustang V8 harness. Does any company make drop mounts that aren't solid? If I use drop mounts will the tranny still mount properly or do I need a different crossmember?
Since the bronco is a 4x4 I have the larger transmission pan(can hold 1 more quart I believe), will that present an issue? Will I need to get the driveshaft cut to fit with the AODE?

Thanks in advance for any input.

yea you know what im debating with the same idea mysel i bought a 300 dollar 91 notch. and really want to do the swap also. im looking around for info myself. i talked to someone the other day about the shocks and springs and buddy said there wouldnt be an issue but i ithink there is just because the blockl is at least 100 pounds heavier that a 302. im also trying to figure out wether to salvage the wiring harness that comes with the engine and comp. im going 5 speed tho.

I am using the factory 4 cylinder suspension in the front of my car and I placed a 5.8 cabureted set up in there. Used all MSD to get the fire to the engine and a Mallory 140 GPH fuel pump and regulator with 8AN fuel line right from the rear of car to the front.

The AODE would be a PITA to put in there and if it is 4X4 it will have the wrong tailstock on the trasmission. The AOD is a huge leach when it comes to stealing power away from the rear tires so I would look at using a different transmission.

Did you have to custom bend the fuel lines??
Could I put the tail from a 2x4 AODE on it??
I'm not building a beast, just something that I won't mind spending money on. The 4cyl n/a is worthless to dump money into, and I just happen to have a 5.8L bronco that needs a lot of interior help and rear quarter cancer help. I think a few of the JYs around here have V8 based foxes... and I don't really want to part with my non-rusted, black interior notch.

Oh, and could I use the starter from my 4cyl? It's a brand new Ford starter, is the reason I ask.

Thanks for the replies!!!

I used braided stainless 8 AN line from back to front with 8AN fittings. That stuff is nice and flexable. The starter can be reused just change the nose off your V8 starter onto the 4cylinder starter. The AODE will have too short a tail shaft to change the 4X4 tail stock to a 4X2 tail stock. Though an AOD from a mid to late 80's crown vic will bolt right up. Again not my choice of tranny. By the way, if your car is that good I would convert to V8 as well.

If I decide to go manual tranny route, what would be a good one, T5? Then I would need to get the manual peddles and such. I am also keeping it EFI so what computer would I need?
And yeah the car could use new paint(faded but no pealing, and a little oxidized), door dings removed, door weather striping, and a fiberglass trunk lid...and everything a V8 needs to safely drive. The interior would need the V8 gauges, and the passenger side door handle bezel, radio and speakers.

Call Promotion Performance Powertrain on the tranny. They will put you in the right direction.
