Was just sitting here tossing around a few things and wondered if 302 gtp heads would work with stock 351w? and if it would even help it out hp wise, ( i was going to port them my self for some practice) Im also just going to stick the stock crank and rods with forged pistons back in it, Im going to build the motor cheapest possible with used parts and throw it in a lil gutted notch just to play with on the street since my other notch isnt going to be very streetable

you will need to drill the head bolt holes bigger. 7/16 for 302 and 1/2 inch for 351. Plus you need not worry about the block strength. The gtp heads will not make that much power.

Get a set of gt40's they have 1/2 head bolts and you don't have to get the special set of headers for them to clear. Yes the block can handle 500hp. How long don't know but it can. Talk to R.barn
