I am having to replace my cam... I am looking for suggestions for the replacement. I have a 351c with the 4v heads and stock manifolds. Probably going to drop down to a 600 cfm carb from the 750 thats on it. I am putting in an AOD tranny with a 2200-2800 stall, havent decided yet. I want reliable driveablility and good low and mid range torque.

this doesnt help you at all, but how is a 351 clevland runing an aod tranny, i thought those required an efi computer system or am i thinking of the e4od tranny.

the aod bolts right up. i will be using a tv cable and other minor mods but it fits fine.

You are asking a lot of a cleveland with the 4V heads!

Those werent really cooking until about 3000+ rpm.Those werent low end torque monsters they were higher reving beasts and really need to backed up by a manual.I got an old Toploader 4speed.

A buddy has done the AOD swap in his 73 mach ill ask him what he needed but i dont think anything but im not sure.

The E4OD was electronic as was the 4R70W's the old AOD's simply needed a TV cable to set line pressure.
