Default 351w PISTON ???

Hello all i have a 1969 351w block that i am in process of building for my 88 lx. I have the motor apart now and bought a new cam lunati 61004-lk Advertised Duration 276/284, Lift .538/.560, harland sharp 1.6 roller rockers, weiand stealth intake,850 holley, hooker super comp headers, msd pro billet distributor, and a set of pro comp heads 210cc 2.06/160 valves. now my question is what pistons do i run?? the choices are endless. I will be driving it street/strip so i dont want to have to run 110 octane or anything like that, I am running a 5 speed tarns, with 4.10 gears right now. any help will be greatly appreciated.

First thing is first find out what combustion chamber size heads you have. My heads have that info engraved right on the end of the head. Then call any of the piston manufacturers SRP and the like out there, tell them what you have and what you want to do.

Depending on where you are in the country will determine how much compression you can go with since I have seen high test gas range from 93 here in the NE to out west at 90 octane. I am running 11 to 1 on 93 octane pump gas thats pushing it since 93 is slowly slipping away. More compression = more power but 11 to 1 is the limit pretty much for pump gas. The piston company sales rep will be able to walk you through stuff since they deal with it every day they have books and charts to read off of with what chamber size and piston dish makes certian compression numbers.

If your tranny is a T-5 you should be careful since your building something that has the potential to make lots and lots of pieces out of a T-5 very quickly if your any kind of hard on it.
