Default Kenne Bell Questions

Since i've been forced to put off my motor build to summer, and knowing ill be doing 50-60 hour weeks come june and july, i am considering my options without such a rush now.

Was wondering if a Kenne Bell would work on the windsor motor, perhaps a 408 from fordstrokers.com. Would i be better off going with a 347, or would the twin screw keep up.

My only requirement for the motor is that it'll run on pump gas (91-93 octane) and that it'll handle the 30 thousand miles a year i may drive.

just another victim of the disillusionment that is inexpensive gas prices at this current time, i guarantee you.

But then again, i drive a mustang because 30 thousand miles a year in a civic would result in suicide.

I have a truck now as my daily driver, averaging about 7.5-10 miles per gallon, even a blown 408 with (hopefully) a .5 overdrive ratio should better that.

The KB can keep up with a 347. I plan on putting one on top of a 383/408 sometime in the future . Getting a freshly rebuild 351 with a good set of heads would be a great start for a KB with the flowzilla setup.

yea, ill prolly end up with a 347....but if i could the 408 would would be great.

i talked to the guys at KB and they said they made no specific set up for the windsor so some bracket fabbing would be necessary.
what psi you planning

I doubt seriously if the 2.1 Kenne Bell offered up for a sbf would keep up witha stout 347 much less a 408.

Its the same plan I have been wanting to do since I was 17 but I figured I might as well throw at least 12psi and if possible 20 at times
