Default lots of carb questions

i am looking for a carb to set atop my fully forged 393 stroker motor.
it has AFR 205's and edelbrock victor JR intake.
cam 248 int./254 exh. @ 050 lift

here's what options i want, feel free to try and change my mind. i don't know much about carbs

-750cfm
-I have heard mighty deamons are good, but because this is a Street/Strip car i think i would like to have a choke (what do you guys think). mighty deamons have no choke. so im thinking about Quick Fuel
-mechanical secondary
-annular boosters.
-under $650

thanks for your guys help

I am using a 750 Quickfuel on my 393, and love it. I am in Tn, and have no trouble with my HP series with out a choke. Mine does not sit outside, and not driven in freezing weather, but other than that, only takes 1-2 taps on the gas, and idle for about 2 mins when below about 50, and go.

I have a 408 with a 4150 950cfm carb on it. Runs rich in the low end but its nice at the high end 6-7k rpm, if you go with a very large one like myself expect to re-jet the thing to get it dialed in. My car rarely sees the street tho as with the big carb I am looking at between 4 to 6 mpg and its a 408 lol.

No choke here either and I second that below 50 degrees it starts getting harder to get it going and keep it going without sitting there and warming it up and the colder it gets the harder it gets to get it going.

thanks you guys for your input. i guess i wouldn't need a choke because i never get the stang out in the winter anyway. but it would be nice just in case.

what are you guys running as far as mechanical or vacuume secondarys and down leg or annular boosters.

thanks cccharleston for the suggestion about pro systems. i am in touch with a guy named patrick and he can build me a custom carb for around 700 bucks. still a little pricey but i would be willing to pay that much for a great carb. does anyone else on the forum have a pro system carberator. if so are they all there cracked up to be?
