i'm going to go look at a mint 92 fox notch with a 4cylinder auto for under 1500 and under 60k miles.....is there any site that can show me what i'm up against for doing this swap?? the reason i would consider this car is because i'm from upstate ny and its hard to find a none rusty mustang

well your on a great site for info! your up against a lot! the entire drivetrain will need to be swapped out, bout the only thing you can keep is the k-member and the control arms. so basically your buying just a shell, cause everything else has gotta go. if you have a donor car with v8 parts on it well great itll save you a ton of money. if not then you have to source everything, either new or used. and it is expensive. im not telling you not to do it, just know your gonna just about turn every bolt on that car till its done. the 4 cyl rear wont hold up, the 4 cyl brake are too small, even the master cylinder and power brake booster are v8 specific. the fuel system needs modifying, even some rear brake line mods are needed. if you want to know specific info just ask many guys here including myself have been throught the process, the best thing to do is sitdown and decide what way you wanna build this car, drag, street,autocross there are guys here that can help you with any of those, and form a plan of attack and hit it. by the way whatever budget you do have double it! you just might get it done for that. good luck.
