DSS short block questions
i found this on the internet, and the guy is willing to deliver it
http://longisland.craigslist.org/pts/1400880666.html
Im confused because he says it is a DSS block, and that it is a 70 block... also he doesnt know the dish on the pistons.
My main question was how much hp are the DSS blocks/rotating assembly good for and am i going to have to cut valve reliefs in the pistons with that mild of a cam.
Plan is to build the motor similar to the S351 motors, but maybe with the TFS R intake and a paxton/procharger blower. IDK which heads yet.
any input appreciated.
thanks, N.A

DSS blocks aren't any stronger than a stock block. They are a stock block that has the same machine work done to them that you would have done at any reputable engine shop. To go past 750 hp you need a aftermarket block ie..DART, SVO, World. DSS has had issues in the past. I can't say about their current motors but, a few years ago they were having quality issues.
