Default 351W Into A Fox Body

I have decided this will be my next year project for my 89 LX. I know this topic has been brought up in here before, but there are a couple topics specific to my setup that I haven't seen brought up when searching this issue. First, when I do this swap I have decided to go old school and revert back to a carb. My current setup is a 5.0 with a Vortech S/C. It is a low boost (5-6 psi) unit so I am not running an intercooler. What would it take to transfer this S/C to a carb motor? If I do that I would want to up the boost so then would I be needing an intercooler? This car currently make 320 rwhp. I would think I can surpass that number with a mildly built N/A stroked 351, but more would br better. I was told to do this would require a special carb and more planning. Next, my car has an AOD. For budget purposes I would like to keep the trans for now. I realize I would be putting it on borrowed time but this is not a track car, it is just an around town fun car so I'm hoping the trans will last for awhile. Of all the 351 swaps I have read about I have not seen one bolted to an AOD. They seem to be hooked to a manual or a C4. Is there a reason for that? Should I plan on going with a C4 when I swap? Thanks in advance.

blow through carb, carb hat and rework some piping, reason they are hooked to a c-4 or manual and not AOD is durability at least in stock form

My AOD has been beefed up with some internal goodies. I'm hoping that since I don't plan on putting slicks on the car that the trans should last for awhile, at least until my wallet recoupes from the engine swap. As for the S/C, what attention do you pay to the fuel system on a carb car? I currently have a Walbro 255 pump. Would I simply hook up some kind of boost sensitive regulator? Do those run on vacuum like the supplied FMU in the Vortech kit?
