351w Crate

Ive got a 94GT looking to swap my 302 for a 351w. I was wondering how simple this would be? And Id also prob be ending up with a carb. My budget will only be about 35-4k at most. So I though a crate would cut cost and time plus Im very green although I have a friend right now helping with my 302. In all honesty would it be best to do a crate, or start from a long block with my budget? Keep in mind it is a 94 not fox

here are some crates Ive been looking at

Even with these crates what would I need to add, or replace? Please help

Your engine bay is designed for a 302, so it will technically be the same as a standard foxbody swap correct? Just have to find correct headers for your year?

I have read I would have to change oil pan, intake, heads, headers and pully assembly. And even motor mounts for clearance, or a cowl hood ..And timing chain cover. Im confused though cause others say everything bolts right up

The heads for a 302 and 351w are the same. The intake is just wider for the larger block. I was able to fit my stock hood on until I got a tall intake, then had to go to a 4" cowl. The A/C, Power steering bracket is different for a 351w. You can probably find one on ebay, otherwise the 302 and 351w have basically the same setup.

that should fit around your k-member?

351 swap

Isent the brackets the same on the 94 and 95 as the cobra R? If so you should only need a longer belt I would think. I know that on the Fox you need to change the bracket and FMS make's them, but they do not make it for the 94/95 were the P/S and A/C are not the same as the FOX. If Im am rong please tell me. I am working on a 351 swap in my 95.
