Default New to foxes, hopefully...

Hey guys, I'm looking into a '89 LX with a ton of mods done to it and wanted to run it by you guys to see what I should look for. I don't know much about Fox bodies but I do know Mustangs (as I currently own a '06 GT). I just want to run the list of everything in the car by you and see if I'm getting a good price and see what you think. Thanks for any help and hopefully i'll be driving a 351 soon!

This is what the add states:

I am selling my 89 lx. I dont have the time to drive it anymore.
The car spent most of its life in Florida. Body and interior are in excellent shape (See pics). Everything on the car is very neat & clean.
The car was originally set-up by Lidio at Alternative auto performance in Michigan.
Here is a list of what has been done:

351 5.8 roller short block from a low mile 95 F250
Roush 200 heads
BBK ceramic 351 swap long tubes
Ford motorsports 351 swap oil pan
MLS head gaskets
Cobra upper & lightning lower intake
42 pound injectors
MSD ignition
Vortech V2 S-Trim with 8 & 12 Lb Pulleys
(Bracket modified by Alternative Performance for 5.8)
AIS Dual nozzle Meth injection System
SCT tune done by CRT Performance.
-Transmission and clutch have 480 miles on them-
TKO 600 Transmission
Steeda Tri Ax shifter
Steeda Bullitt Quadrant
Centerforce dual friction clutch
Firewall adjuster
Aluminum Driveshaft
Auburn differential
3:73 Gears
Tokico shocks & struts

Boss hood (unpainted) also comes with stock hood.
Car currently has nice 97 cobra wheels on it.
Pioneer CD player with a couple kenwoods.

The car will come with all my Mustang stuff. Including
Extra/spare complete 351 roller engine from a 95 van
351 non roller bare block
355 gears
Cars stock hood in perfect shape.

New price $9300obo. I will gladly take someone for a ride, but sorry no joy rides.
The car has a very conservative tune and made 497 rwhp under 5300rpm on a mustang dynoe BEFORE the meth injection was added.

let me know what you think!

looks like a clean car 9300 is a good bit of coin but it has lots of goodies on it so take a good look at the torque box's in the rear and the underside of the car and if it is what you want buy it. I really don't think the price that far off for what you are getting at lease not for this area.

Another question I thought of is is this vehicle able to be driven in cold weather with the vortech installed?...I've heard rumors that you can't and i just want to be sure. Im aware that mustangs aren't ideal vehicles in snow/cold but i refuse to drive anything else...lol

I mean, I still have my '06 and I drove it every day during the winter, even during the worst ice storm Ohio's seen in years/decades...i'm not necessarily worried about driving in the winter as much as having engine problems. Would the vortech lead to any problems outside of "automatic right hand turns" lol

My other option is to purchase a car through auction (my aunt's a dealer) and fix it up as much as I want within the amount of the loan...I am def. looking for disc brake conversion and safety features that weren't standard.

You should just buy that car....

The amount of work in that thing is EASILY 15k in parts...

Why in the HELL would you ever drive a car like that in the winter if the roads are clear of salt and snow then that maybe ok but other then the best roads WHY!!. buy a beater. If you are gone to do that don't buy it the car looks much more worthy of a better home..

Trust me, I will take care of this car like no other! It will be fully restored and I will make sure that once it's paid off and I buy another stang(lol) the underside will be completely restored to it's original beauty. I want my '06 to get the royal treatment aka winter storage so I'm buying another stang.

I'm also looking at another stang, also a '89 LX...we'll see what happens, i'm in no hurry
