i have a 88 lx mustang 5.0 vortech charged. it has gt40 heads and a stock 94 gt bottom end. im looking to do a 351 swap with these gt40 explorer heads.. what kind of cam should i get and what intake.. my car is vortech sc charged and wanna run 10- 12 psi of boost.. looking to get around 500 whp horse.. you guys have any ideas. im kinda on a budget.. please let me know thanks guys

That means those heads are a joke on that setup! There are too many cheap aftermarkets to waste ur time on that. Use the edelbrock perf 5.8! Since you wont need anything more.

Venomantidote95, I would only use Performer heads if it was a non-stroker 351...the RPMs tho, not the straight Performers. If it were a stroker then I'd go with something better like AFR's...

spitefire1, those heads are nowhere near being optimal for a boosted 351. And they're going to severely lmit the cam you can use. Go with something aftermarket...

Its possible, but go with the AFR's I love the 205's i got on my car.
