Default 302 with 400 modified heads into 91 Base

I'm pretty new to the whole engine swap scene. I wanna do a swap on my 2.3L mustang. I found a 302 out of a 85 or 86 mustang and i have a set of 400 modified heads that i want to put on the 302 and do a cam swap. My question is, what do i need to do to swap this carb engine into my efi car. i dont want to convert the motor to efi. i want to keep it carb. i have a edelbroc 600cfm sitting in my garage right now that i was plannin on using for a different motor but it'll do fine right here. i dont plan on reving out the motor really so it'll suffice for now. i know about all the suspension and brakes and rearend swapping that i need to do. and a beefier tranny. But, what do i need to do the basic drop the engine in and go?

did you ever even bother looking into what it would take to fit 400M heads onto a 302W block?

Might wanna just skip it and buy some normal windsor heads.

Going from EFI to carbed is as simple as it gets in my opinion. Just need juice flowing to your distributor really. One thing you'll need to make a decision on though is fuel management. Most carbed motors use a vacuum operated pump that attaches on the side of the block. Fuel injection uses a pump mounted in the fuel tank. I'm not sure if you'd need a different fuel tank if you change to the other. I'm thinking you can make it work with a powered fuel pump though, just need to run the line to the carb. And you'll need to change your throttle linkage obviously.

But yeah I don't know about that 400M head on a 302W idea, sounds like alot of custom(expensive) machine shop work. Might be able to afford fully assembled bolt on aftermarket heads that are just as good with the cash you'd probably have to spend to make those heads fit. Or you can just get a 351M or 400M and stuff it in there, I think the motor mounts are the same?
