someone is selling a 302 msd dist. cheap was wondering if i bought it and put the right gear on it will it work in my 351w??

Not positive but I don't think so. I think the collar height is lower in the 302. Best way to find out for yourself would be to go onto summitracing.com or something and find a model distributor thats made for both engines and see if the part numbers are the same.

yes it will they are both 4" safts the only diffrence is that the 302 oil pump size is 1/4 and the 351w is 5/16 but u can buy a gear to change the bottom gear for it to fit thanks for the info tho guys

I don't think so. The 351 has a taller deck height, so the shaft would have to be longer.

you would have to take it all apart to get it to work just get a remain for 50 bucks

no the diffrence is in the oil pump shaft and what length it is the ceck hight has nothin to do wit the dizzy

its not the deck height you need to worry about its the diameter of dizzys housing where it fits in block is not the same 351 has larger hole
