1995 Mustang 351w stroker
Wow, I haven't posted to these forums in a while.
Anyways, ok so I recently began rebuilding a 351w (1990 block) last November and its almost done. I will have about $10k in the motor by the time it goes in the car around October. Now I just want to get an idea of the power levels it may/could produce. I have a general idea by looking over other forums, but no one has used the exact same set up as I have. I'll list the parts.
1990 block, bored .030 over
CHP forged stroker kit, 393ci. (forged crank, h-beam rods, custom dome pistons for Trickflow heads)
Compression ratio ~ 9.7:1
Comp Cams CCA-35-775-8, 236/248 duration @.05, .579/.579 lift, 114 LSA
Ford Racing 351w swap oil pan w/ Melling oil pump, hardened driveshaft
Trickflow 205cc aluminum heads, 2.02/1.6 valves, Trickflow dual valve springs
48 lbs/hr injectors
Trickflow R intake
Comp Cams double roller timing chain
Ford Racing timing cover/water pump
Manual transmission, T5 as of now but am considering a TKO
N/A, going to run on 93 octane
I was planning on doing the tune myself, taking the winter to learn how to properly. I have a couple buddies that both run Mustangs (One's a 5.0, the other a 4.6). They have both said somewhere between 450-550 to the wheels. I'd like to pass the 500rwhp mark and I would be satisfied. This is my first engine build.
What would be your thoughts? The small town I'm from, all the kids drive imports and practically hate on Mustangs. It would be nice to whoop on them when they start getting too cocky.
