Default 393 stroker - heads for my combo???

Hey guys, need your opinion. I have a 393 stroker with a 11/4 compression and im currently running a Edelbrock Top end kid. (170cc/60cc Performer RPM heads). I have decided I want to upgrade my heads because one needs a valve seal replacement and they are just to damn small for this motor.
Cam specs: 496/520 (1500-6500 effective range). I love this cam for the low end torque it has to offer, 1st and second gear are nasty but mid range third the motor just starts to blahhhh. I am kind of on a budget also so im limited to what I can really do.

I have read reviews on the new Edelbrock E-205 heads but no one has actually tried them, just comparisons vs other big names. I am curious to how much more power I would gain from these appose to my 170cc heads.

I have also looked at AFR trick flow T/W heads but im limited to around 1.5k on this build, and a solid 205-225cc head is like 800-1000 alone :/ Any input would be appreciated.

I also saw the Victor JR's for 800 a pop (210cc/75 on the exhaust) I am def interested in this.

Yeah you definitely need something in the 205cc range. Look at my combo if you need a reference. On a budget, I was going to suggest the Victor Jr heads as you already suggested. I personally like the Trickflow design, but they are a bit out of your budget. Did you build that motor yourself?

Yea I am kinda stuck on Victor Jr's, the more I check them out the more interested I am. Being that Im running an edelbrock cam, and intake, why not keep the heads edelbrock also :P. I am just really curious about these E-205 heads they just came out with, I mean 1100 dollar 205cc heads is interesting but I am going to assume they are cheap for a reason. Only 500 more bucks gets me a legit 210/75 head which will probably make much more power anyways.

O and my motor was built as a shortblock by Wheeler power Products. They were the company down in florida selling cheap *** 393/408 kits on ebay for like 1700-2200. They had a horrible rep for not delivering engines but I got mine in a timely matter and built right to. Has been running solid for 3 years (besides the valve seal issue)

you could call edelbrock and they would set you up with the right heads...seeing you are running their combo anyways....then you would have the right valvetrain set-up also.good luck with your build.

Just MHO but I'm thinking you need a head with at least a 195cc for on the street with that cam.
Edelbrock makes very nice heads BTW........
