Default GT Front End Appearance Question

Before i go ahead and try an install for the GT appearance package (the front end only) I have aquestion. I ordered the GT front bumper plus the grill's and fogs. However, i know i need to transfer the corner lights as well as the rivets but are the rivets the same? Anyone that has done this already, and i know there are many, know if the rivets are idential between bumpers or if i need to buy new ones because it's a GT front?

Any input is appreciated thanks!

To remove the front turn signal lights, I took a dremmel and and cut the rivets, then went and bought a set of nuts and bolts to match the rivets to mount them back in. It works great and is cheap and easy.

You won't be able to transfer the rivets, they are one time use.

^=1 thats pretty much it, you can use other rivets from the store, but the ones you'll hav to drill out cant be used again.

You can probably find some rivets at the hardware store. You will need a rivet gun to use them. When I did my conversion I just used some small stainless steel nuts and bolts from the hardware store. I put the bolts right through the holes where the rivets were. Nuts and bolts are the way to go in my opinion. Its simple and is just as secure if not more secure than with the stock rivets.

Rivets can be done you just need a hand-riveter. You can get both at home depot. Just make sure you get rivets that fit the hole.

I also used small nuts and bolts, easy as passing a trillion dollar stimulus package

Or you can use rivitnuts. They are awesome.
Once you buy the kit and tool, you will find yourself using them all the time.
Its a rivit that produces a threaded hole once installed.
