Default Exhaust/Header/Cat Question

I am looking to do a complete upgrade on my exhaust. I am getting ready to order the JBA EVOL with the H-Pipe, also the JBA Headers. Being shorty headers my question is what can I do about the downpipes with the cats. I want to replace those with less restricting ones but I can't seem to find any at all. I may even just decide to get this as well: RPM Outlet
It's the last option with the headers, pulley, SCT, and intake, as well as plug wires and throttle body spacer too, i believe.
Could somebody please help me with the cat/downpipe issue though. Thank You!

A friend of mine got the MAC high flow cats, and had to have them welded in.

What did he do about the downpipe? Just leave it stock?

I'd say leave the cats off if you don't have smog tests. Theres a considerable bit more pwoer without the CATS. At least it sure felt like it to me.

Okay, what does everyone think about going with the MAC setup then. I was going to go JBA Racing. Now i might consider the cat-back, with the MAC Headers, and the MAC Offroad Pipe. What does everyone think of that?

Well, I thought I'd put my 2 cents in about a throttle body spacer. I have an 06 premium (black) 5spd with only a gt take off muffler. I bought a Helix Power Tower Plus from ebay new in box for about $60. I got it 2 days ago and installed it right away, only took 20 minutes or so. When I test drove it, it did sound different, more "growly" I guess. First gear from 1K to 2K RPM had a little more oomph to it, but other than that, My poor Stang fell flat on its a$$ in any gear over 3K rpm. It felt as if the engine was outright being strangled for air. I am not pleased with the spacer at all, infact after this post I will be taking it off and returning the throttle body to its original place. If anyone wants to buy mine I would sell it for $40. But again, I myself was not pleased with it. My next step is a CAI w/ XCAL 2 (bamatunes).

Magnaflow makes a high performance cat/x pipe. You may have to go someplace where they can do a little custom exhaust fab instead of buying a specific part. On our hot rods we`ve built everything was custom fabbed.

Yes yes... the throttle body spacers have been shown to produce zero gains... and an intake/tune from Bamachips is one of the finest mods you can do that will truly awkaken your ride...

and... welcome to the board [sm=burnout.gif]

I say, mix 'n' match... I'm a little biased towards JBA... and I will never put a MAC product on my ride (others are very happy with 'em).
