Default Ring and Pinion replacement Kit now available

My 2 month old 2006 Stang with only 3700 miles has started to whine in the rear end.
Grrrrrrgh..... [:@]
The noise gets noticable at about 30 and then louder and louder the faster I go.
The noise is very anoying at 75 mph, I was told I can continue to run it. Yeah,,
Well see.. Maybe I should tell them to put in a better type.. for the inconvienounce.

My local Ford Service guy showed me a tech pub from Ford listing the 2006 Mustang
Coup w/ 4.0L V6 having a rear end whine or noise that gets louder with the change in
speed and guess what??

Ford has a repair kit (Ring & Pinion) now available. Yet it will not be changed out for
2 weeks as this dealer has a mechanics gone to school and a tadof a back log.. Sheesh..

I wonder if Ford can spell (Recall) ?

"Just turn on the Radio" the saleman told me.

Grrrrrgh.

I've found AC/DC solves a lot of problems with irritating cabin noise.

3.73s for me BUT BE SURE THEY ARE THE NEW VERSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dealer is still fighting the old version ones and looks like I am going to have to buy the new ones to because the old ones will not install.

I took mine in for the whine too and the dealer was veryhappy to install what I brought in.

who said 3.73s, me? no i will never recomend 3.73s with a 5th gear ratio any less then 1:1, i dont have an auto so i keep my mouth shut, i know about the T-5s and T-3650s though,

best LSD is detorit hands down, the T-lok is just a factory replacement part from the bronco2/rangers

What bugs me the most is that I support an American company; Ford
(yeah i know the engine was made in Germany and the Transmission was from France)

Ford knows that the pinion and ring gear in my car was defective--They have a
Replacement kit for it in stock and a Tech Service Bulletin on record for months and..

And still the Dealership sells me a Car with a known defect
(I guess hoping my Ring and pinion will not whine) .

Why I wonder don't they fix those rear ends with the
know LOT number of the defective batch before the Dealership sell the Car?

IT would cost them Money..

But to let a New Mustang roll out on the Highway with a Known Defect and
gamble or hope it will not fail is not smart business IMO..

I wonder now If I should have bought that 2007 Hyundai Sonata? With a 100k warranty
and 10 years. How many of those I wonder have Known defective issues? ..

Knowing human nature all the dam cars Do... GRRRRRgh

We humans are great examples of Human inperfection I guess

wow man cool down a bit LOL
it will get fixed......why fix all of em when only some of em do it? mine doesnt whine at all and honestly i havent heard of anyones stock gears whining. Makes more sense to fix the ones that are messed up, than to fix all of them, so you take it in they will fix it for free. You gotta remember this is the first couple of years of this car....things are going to not work perfectly its just how it works, its what you trade off for having this hot *** new car.
