pics of your dual exhausts
Hey all, I used the exhaust sound sticky to help me decide on what muffler I went with (flowmaster single axle-back). But after seeing youngmustanger's dual magnaflow setup, I'm really starting to think about duals. I know his setup is custom, but has anyone else done their duals the same way (with the mufflers more toward the middle of the car)? Is the sound of a dual setup that much better than a single? I know it's not going to sound like a V8, but is it any deeper? I actually really like the sound of my single right now, but the look of duals seems hard to pass up...
Those of you with duals please post some pictures and lemme know what you have, lol everytime I think I'm happy with my car I find something else I want to do with it! Thanks in advance |

Mostly to see how they exit out the back, maybe a couple underside shots.
Anything will do, I mostly want to see how most people are doing their dual setups, like if it's all pretty much custom work. My flowmaster came with a kinda large tip, and I'm also wondering if when going the dual route if it essentially 2 axle-backs at the end, or mufflers with a little extra piping on the end. |

RE: pics of your dual exhausts
looks nice pat! was your exhaust work custom done, or did you buy a set of GT pipes?
That's another big question for me, is it easier/cheaper to just have a shop fab up a set of true duals, or buy the GT takeoff pipes? Or will the GT pipes even fit our cars? |
RE: pics of your dual exhausts
mine is 100% gt parts from the cats back.

RE: pics of your dual exhausts
Check my cardomain I'm too lazy to post pics lol! I listened to the clips of some singles and was pleased with the sound but I just had to have the dual exit look so I got the Magnaflows. I like how you just see pipes from behind, not the whole box thing.

RE: pics of your dual exhausts
If I did mine right the first time it probably would have cost about $400. Yes, the shop had the X pipe but had to custom fit it to my Stang.

Here are the pics of my mufflers, for those of you who haven't seen them. My set up cost me $500.00 out the door
