Buzz/Rattle from Shifter

Buzz/Rattle from Shifter
So I know that I have read several members saying that their stock shifters rattled a bit. Mine has recently started doing it as well, but I'm not sure if it is the same thing. It is most noticable in 3rd gear and some in 1st and 5th as well, but never 2nd or 4th. When the engine is cold there is less noise and it gets louder as the ride goes on. I have brought it to Ford a few times now and the transmission guy (actually not employed by Ford) didn't think much of it (at least he heard it, the other idiots claimed they couldn't replicate a very obvious noise). They changed my fluid to a full synthetic but nothing has changed.
Is this just the nature of our noisy tranny? Why did it only start after almost 3,000 miles? Any comments/suggestions would be great.

RE: Buzz/Rattle from Shifter
I get a rattle, but it is from the parking brake handle. Found I could push down on the spring loaded release button when I heard the rattle sound and it would go away. Now I need to find out how to take the handle apart an put in a stiffer spring or grease it up a bunch. Probably not the same problem you are having, but thoght I'd let you know just in case.

Ford has solved this problem. The owner needs to simply turn the **** labeled "volume" to the left until rattles can no longer be heard.

Exhaust note plus several other miscellaneous squeaks and rattles. Welcome to the family.
