Manual Tranny Stick from First to Second??
I'm sure that this has just started happening. Shifting from first to second, it seems to be a bit reluctant to shift smoothly. Sometimes it is as smooth as it can be. Often, I have to pull it harder out of first.
Anybody experience this. Any linkage adjustments? At a stop, it moves freely. It is just when under load and not even hard acceleration.

thats normal.. feels like a notch when shifting?
thats because your synchro isnt aligned when youshifting.. so it does its job and lines you up for the gear. which is hte wierd feeling..
the symptom has gotten worst since my car broke in.. but arond 25-30k, it hasnt changed and i got 52000 on it now

Yeah, mine too. People here tell me it's normal and it'll break in.
I'm building a "to do list" for my dealership, and will probably take it in at the end of the month for all the little fixups. (sticky 1-2 shift, windows go "bang" when they reach their bottom stops, few other minor issues)

its like driving a truck, or a manual transmission with-out synchros, you have to match rpm's when you shift, letting off the gas to break the torque load right before pushing in the clutch should make the problem go away. The problem will be magnified because the parts are so new and need to be broken in, standard jargon.
