Anyone have a drop-in K&N airfilter?
I'm just starting with my new Mustang and I'm on a pretty tight budget. I would love to get a CAI but I don't want to spend the money yet.
My question is: Is a $45 K&N airfilter worth it?
I would like to know if anyone had a noticeable iimprovement in MPG or performance with the drop in filter.

Didn't notice any real difference. Reset the computer and drove to San Diego right after popping it in, got over 24MPG.
Haven't seen anything over 20MPG ever since I got my intake and tune.

If your interested in a K&N AF, I am switching over to CAI+Tune so mine will be put back in the box, i'll sell it for 25+ shipped - It hasn't been used that much at all, also comes with lifetime warranty, easily cleaned, etc.

Thanks all. I dropped in the KN filter until I can save some cash for the CAI. I swear I can feel and hear a difference with the filter, probably all in my head.
Thanks again.
