Default Idle RPM's

What is a good number for RPM's at idle? I set mine for like 700 and I'm not sure if that is too low (I know it isn't too high). 800-1000 be better? Just curious, still trying to track down the mysterious engine stall from earlier this week.

Mine idles at around 750 after the xcal2. Before it was at 500. I wouldn't go any higher just for the sake of wasting fuel.
