ORIGINAL: fitbikeco

ORIGINAL: fazm

$7400 locally for a custom built twin turbo kit, installed and tuned.

Even then it would only be $27,300 total cost for a v6 twin turbo when i bought my car, and a GT was going for 34k. So no a gt wouldnt have been cheaper.

But like blackfoot said, boost is boost. Twins spool up soooner so you have more streetable horsepower. Singles are for high end hosepower cars generally. Now you can make a single turbo kit that will spool low as well, but it wont have the capability of such high peak numbers. (PH kit makes 5psi at 2500rpm, and 9psi at 3000rpm, but the max on the kit is 20psi)

ahh i dunno man out here you can get an 05 gt for less than 27
plus you cant put a pricetag on a good warentee

I got my car when they were barely any on the lot. Now i can get a GT brand new for $100 over invoice. But when they first came out they had a $7995 MVA (market value adjustment).

Well you guys have to remember, I doubt anyone here is really serious about getting tt unless they won the lottery. This is just so we can dream about our cards having tt (for me anyways) and plus I already have a v6 Stang so if I have the money, I would rather spend 10k for a tt kit than buying a GT. I wanna be like that guy with 9 in a 1/4 mile.

only 1 v6 mustang in the world that runs 9s with a production based short block. lol. (just read bout it in the new MMFF)

twin turbo with the stock block wont get u much more if anything more than a single turbo.

fit, if you can safely run 9 psi with a single turbo, without upgrading you internals, you can do the same with a Twin turbo at 9 psi...

typically with any turbo... you dont "just up the boost" your motor has its limits.. if its stock. it can only go so far..

the thing about a TT kit for our cars is that yes it costs more money, but it would be a show winner.. its different its unique and it would own a superchrager for low end power
