just wondering where you guys had your dual exhasut setups installed? i went to the local Midas and they told me they dont know if it could be done. are the little muffler shops legit?

I work at a Car X auto shop and yes you can put them on. I would say get a system from JBA, Dyno Max, Flowmaster or other companys. Don't let them custom bend the pipes. By the time they do that, it will cost about the same as an premade system. What I rec. to my customer is that if they can get the system less than what I sell it for, for them to get it and I will install it for them. Just to let you know that I work in Oak Forest, IL. Excessive Motorsports did mine, they are the local authority on Mustangs in my area. But I had Midas do my first dual setup with no issues. I noticed it's hit or miss on the exhaust chains being able to do it. Usually its not if they are able to do it, its if they want to do it. I noticed a lot of them are laaazzzy.

geeeeee, I work with a few laaaazzzzzzzys. Your right rygenstormlocke. At the shop I use to work at it was like if the mech. felt like doing it then he would but most of the time I did them and the boss would have the person take care of me. After this happen a few times, the other mech's were getting mad about me making some extra cash, but yet wouldn't get off there a_ _ to do one.

thanks for the info im sure there is a midas shop around here that has put duels on a 6. theres about a million 6ers now in my area. yeah the pic looks misleading, but you got to read the caption. i guess you got to know about mixed martial arts to get the joke. this is alil more manly!

Sick Six

I went through about three Muffler shops before I found someone who could,
(or wanted to) everyone pointed to this one guy who ran a small shop in the town I
go to college at. I went to him he was the most confident out of anybody. He custom
bent all my piping made a custom H and installed it all for only $150! And yeah he did a really
great job. He was concerned at first that it wouldn't be that loud. He said he did another 05' V6
dual setup and he said you couldn't hear it for sh*t! Don't know what kinda mufflers that guy/girl
got but yeah. When I picked my car up (it took about 2hours) he told me..."You know, they are a little louder than I thought they'd be"
I was so damn excited!

So yeah you just gotta look around get opinions from other guys who've gotten work done.

dynomax makes an x pipe that fits the v6 for $100 or they have the whole exhaust with x pipe for $400. just go in ebay and punch in dynomax exhaust and they come up in a store there.this x pipe will bolt up to the gt exhaust.hope this helps
