Nice cars, the Mustangs sweet but the corvette aint bad either C&L and the SCTII are pry the best that ive heard of, been doin my own research because im preparing to order mine soon as well. Pry from Alternative Auto since then seem to be the experts with Automatic tuning. You should consider exhaust if your looking to enhance the engine. Just a GT Take off Axel Back is a good upgrade. Its not real loud, just a little bit over the v6 stock exhaust and you can get them usually under $75 bucks. Plus you free up 7hp or so just by bolting up the exhaust. Keep them cars lookin nice though

I went with the C&L/SCT from Evolution Perf. for $565. Came with 3 tunes, plus STOCK, so you can always flash back for warranty's sake. So far, I love every minute of it. I haven't tried the 93 extreme tune, mainly because it's hard to find 93 around here. But I've heard all the raves about it. As for vendors, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the sponsors on here...Alternative, Evolution, Bamachips, Brenspeed, etc. I went with Fred at Evoloution, because at the time, it was one of the best prices on the combo, and he actually had them in stock - not on back-order like alot of the others I tried. The other combo I thought about getting was from Demolet-Tuned Induction. You might also look at them.

As for the exhaust, I installed a Magnaflow axle-back too. You will notice a difference in the car, even without the muffler change. But an even bigger difference once you free up the breathing even more with less restrictive exhaust. True, they are quite a bit louder than the stock muffler. I am considering changing over to something a little quieter. But I do like the improved performance that it adds.

Good luck with your mods, you won't be disappointed.

hey optical,
always remember...if you increase the intake of air into the engine, you must increase the outtake of air to get the most gains.
its like breathing without exhaling. if you want to get a new muffler, and keep the noise down...dont get a MRT! I would go with the ford racing or the gt takeoff. those are dyno proven, and seem popular with most of the members here.
goodluck and be safe.

I am the odd duck out, my car is 4 tenths faster with the microtuner on 87 gas, than the SCT2 on 93 tune n 93 gas.

There are many company's out there that offer great deals on the combo. As stated earlier, make sure you get the XCAL2 with the deal. As far as exhaust you seem a little to dead set against it, let time dictate that. There are many that aren't that loud and with the research you have done there are also many sound clips to listen to.
Good luck and chill on the Bare with me people are very helpful here.
