Yes thats what they mean if you decide to bolt the left side on also. The GT Exhaust is very straight forward....

All you do it take a 13mm socket wrench and unbolt the 3 brackets from the old muffler. Take a 15mm Deep Socket and unbolt the clamp to the exhaust pipe. Wiggle loose the muffler and slide it off. Then take the 2 brackets from the old muffler that hung the actual muffler and slip those on the GT muffler. Then bolt the clamp on and rehang the brackers. I didnt really have to stand on my exhaust to get it to clear, i have about an 1/8" from the bumper and had no problems with it. Just make sure that the bolts are tighened good. I had to retighten them after i took it out for a spin because i could here it rattling and i happened to burn myself on the muffler
Thanks.... sounds very do-able! I'd be rattled too if I almost burned myself... ouch! Yes... I am corny! lol

I have the Single gt-take off muffler, and couldnt be happier. Its not terribly loud and it gives it a nice deeper growl at idle. Sounds great when you first start up the car. Sounds beautiful at around 3000-3500 rpms. As far as horsepower gains i don't know. I havent had it dynoed (and doubt i ever will) but i dont feel any noticable gain in power.

Just another opinion on the installation and getting the muffler. I took mine to a small shop, I am old enough that I don't crawl under cars anymore. They did a very professional installation, reattached all the hangers from the V-6 muffler to the V-8 muffler and I have had NO problems with droning or rattles. As for obtaining a muffler, I got on the 4.6 site and asked if any of the GT guys had a right side muffler to sell me. One guy was nice enough to let me have his for the price of shipping only (I sent him a bit extra in appreciation).
