Exhaust question
Converted my stang to "true" duals tonight with my welder and 2 1/2 inch pipe, bent some tubing for the rear axle, installed it all and poof, wonderful duals!! They work great, got dual gt take offs now, BUT!!!! They are not X pipe OR H pipe, just plain simple straight run duals, just like the old days...lol. Now that it is all freed up in the exhaust, it sounds like a helicopter at the muffler tips, instead of six cylinder running through one muffler, i now have 3 cylinders on each side, I think this accounts for the puffy freed up sound, and no itisnt exhaust leaks, underneath my car is quite as a mouse. It just sounds wierd at idle.. running it through the gears sounds unreal though, a wet dream come true....lol, it flys up the rpm range now too, alot faster that is.
any thoughts?

RE: Exhaust question
As soon as I can Ill record a clip of it idling. I took it to work this morning, and the exhaust sound is GREAT, but that damn idle sound bugs the hell out of me. its like puff puff puff puff, really fast at idle. Before the dual conversion its just have a low growl at idle, now its almost silent, just puffs of air. It runs fine, and revs super fast now, When I ran my pipes, I kept the stock cut off parts that I cut off incase it didnt work out. Until I can get an x pipe full kit, I may just set it back to stock for now, 2 into 1. Ill get a clip as soon as I can though. You guys will think WTF? LOL But I have figured it out pretty much, Its like have a 3 cylinder running through each muffler, so there is a bigger gap of time between each puff of exhaust, I dunno its hard to explain.
