When using forced induction you want the lowest posible exhaust restriction. SO yes, duals, straight pipes and headers all help when using forced induction. SInce your pushin so much air into the piston chamber....the faster it gets out...the more efficient the set up .

The droning sound can sometimes put me in a trance when I'm driving for 8+hours. That's the only thing I don't like about my pipes.

Do you have State inspection where you live? It sounds like it might be an adventure to get the car through inspection that loud?

I saw the O2 sensors that you are speaking about before the cats and you are right thats where they

have you seen your check engine light come on at all?

My exhaust guy sugested that I not do straight pipes because the O2 sensors for the Cats are located in the center of the cat. He thought that the loss of the muffler would reduce the back pressure so much that the sensor would not work. If this is not true I might reconsider the straight pipe idea. Let me know.
i don't think the 02 sensors are in the middle of the Cats... AFAIK, there are 2 O2 sensors in front of the cats and then behind the cats... Most tuners actually turn off the rear sensors...

From what I've heard from other folks is a that a true dual without some type of crossover like and x or h pipe actually sounds pretty crappy... hmmm...

For drone you could always try a couple of resonators...
are but there is also a O2 sensor located dead center of each cat protruding out the side. Is my car different from yours in some way?

aren't those side-draft exhaust kits (like the Cervini's kit) a true-dual style?
