Default installed MRT exhaust

I had my MRT exhaust put by a muffler shop.when the car is idleing I don't hear the exhaust but when I hit the gas it sounds a little ricey
is this normal? The drone isn't all the bad and only happens when I punch it.Will it change over time? The exhaust clips form this forum sound different than when I got mine.

Yes, the MRT will change as it breaks in... Mine changed it's tone multiple times over the period of a few weeks... it just kept getting better and better! Do you have a CAI? They tend to make the exhaust sound a bit better also...

I have had mine on since mid august, and it has mellowed to the perfect tone. It doesnt give quite the drone any more. The "ricey" sound that I believe you speak of is gone and it just has a nice sporty sound. My favorite part is starting the car and hearing the nice growl when it fires up haha. hope you enjoy the new exhaust!

yeah i guess i spoke to soon because it's getting better.they welded the muffler on would that have anything to do with sound? It's loudest when i'm going through 1st-4th then 5th it mellows down. But it is an awesome muffler and can't wait for it to break down and i'm very happy with it.No i don't have a CAI, this is the only mod.

cai and tuner would improve the sound
the only time my mrt sounds a bit ricy is when i start it up in the cold weather
when the engine is fully warm it sounds the best
