8.8" rear with 3.55s, T-5 will work on both 3.8 and 4.0, might need a differnt bell housing htough, my vote would be to find a 4.2 out of a newer F150, they have a better block

you can get any transmission you want. you just need to purchase the appropriate bell housing to bolt up.. and for your 67 i recomend the ford 9" with either 3:73 or 4:10 gears..

it will be a cool resto-mod modification for sure.. but your going to need the wiring harness too so you can make your car think its a ranger.. but then your still going to have prblems because hte computer is going to try and read wheel speed, O2 sensor, and basically all the extra bells and whistles standard on a new vehicle, that would contribute to driveabilty ..

its gonna cost a nice buck

I agree. That isnt going to be the easiest thing to do. If I were going to do an engine swap on an old car I would probably use a pretty basic engine. Also if I was going to do an engine swap on a 67 I would probably go with a 302. The engines are cheap, the mods are cheap, the engines and mods are easy to find, and those engines take to mods insainly well. Also a plus to that is that a 302 was actually an option in those cars.
