RE: V-6 To GT Engine Swap
anybody see a trend here everytime someone comes fresh to this forum they seam to wanna find out how to pull their 6 and drop in an 8
there is way to much involved in swapping motors to bother with it
if you really want an 8 then sell the 6 and buy a later model cobra
this section of mustang forums is about building your 6
so welcome to the forums i dont mean to sound like an a hole but if you want to post here build your 6

Paleoc, I think you for got the front brakes. [sm=smiley1.gif].
Yes, you are probably looking at $15000 in parts and a bunch more for installation. You'd have to keep it a long time for the insurance savings to pay that off. Another option would be to buy the $15000 Shelby CS6 kit. For the same expenditure you'd have a really unique ride with 50 more HP than a stock GT and 25 more than the '07 Shelby GT and you still get V6 insurance rates.

Doing an engine sway is a legitimate part of the car hobby scene, but if you're going to do it, don't build something you can buy off any dealership lot. Go crazy, put an Allison V12 in it and move the drivers location to the trunk. [sm=wootwoot.gif] I'm being facetious, but you get the idea. If you are going to spend all that time, effort and money, do something creative.
