car acting funny?

Default car acting funny?

Have an 06 5 speed and for the past couple of days I noticed the car is reving itself in nuetral.It seems to happen
when I drive the car the 1st time for the day and when I stop at a stop sign/redlight I put it in nuetral and the rpms
go from 1200 to 2100 and doesn't stop untill I put it in 1st.Was think about taking it to the dealer , but thought
I would ask yall first.My only mod is a MRT exhaust.thanks

did you take your foot of the gas all the way when u shifted it? just wondering (probably did i'll give u more credit)

i dunno but when its cold my revs to like 1500 in park or neutral

happens every so often, at least once a week. Since the dealer cant recreat the problem, they say there is no problem.

Have you asked about a monitor so it can record when it happens? Service can read it out, may take some convincing for them to equip you temporarily.

Sounds like you've been letting a clown drive your car [rimshot] (sorry - couldn't resist)

From what you've described, it doesn't sound right. When you take it into the dealer for service, tell them you've read on a Mustang Forum that others have experienced this same problem. I did not see any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB's) about 2006's with your particular problem.
