Have an 06 5 speed and for the past couple of days I noticed the car is reving itself in nuetral. It seems to happen
when I drive the car the 1st time for the day and when I stop at a stop sign/redlight I put it in nuetral and the rpms
go from 1200 to 2100 and doesn't stop untill I put it in 1st.Was think about taking it to the dealer , but thought
I would ask yall first. My only mod is a MRT exhaust.thanks

happens every so often, at least once a week. Since the dealer cant recreat the problem, they say there is no problem.

Have you asked about a monitor so it can record when it happens? Service can read it out, may take some convincing for them to equip you temporarily.

Car Acting Funny?
Sounds like you've been letting a clown drive your car [rimshot] (sorry - couldn't resist)

From what you've described, it doesn't sound right. When you take it into the dealer for service, tell them you've read on a Mustang Forum that others have experienced this same problem. I did not see any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB's) about 2006's with your particular problem.

Good Luck!
