Default Can a tune screw me up?

I like the idea of a CAI/tune. I am seeing all the good from the posts here. Now, here is my question:

Is there a down side to a tune?

What I mean is, I am average at mechanical stuff and am not afraid to dig in and play. But, when it comes to electronics I get nervous. When "flashing" the computer, what happens if something (like me) screws up? I see there is a "stock" program, do I just flash it back to that and everything is fine?Is it that simple? I am afraid of screwing up the computer and having it cost me big time to get things fixed. And, I guess for warranty work I would just return it to stock until done, right?

Or, am I just being a wuss. [sm=feedback.gif]

I would also like to know this. I see the benefits of a tune but I also read a lot about how people have problems and how it does void warranty if you're caught doing it. I'm going to end up getting a no-tune CAI for now and after my warranty is up I might go with a tune, knowing me I would forget to reset if I went in for warranty work.
