Default X-CAL help

Well my CAI and X-Cal was waiting at the door when I got home today. I'm getting ready to install and tune but I have a question. The X-cal instructions say to disconnect the fuel pump and eletric fan fuses. I haven't heard anyone talk about this before and the directions don't say when to reconnect them. This is the first time I have used one of these so I want to make sure I get it right. Did anybody else disconnect the fuses before flashing their computers? If so where are the fuses located and when do you reconnect them?

yep, sorry I don't have mine handy but they are in the engine compartment passanger side beside the computer unit...... square fuses.... your manual will list them....

They do that so there is not spike on voltage that can screw your car computer..... just precaucionary..... I always do it....

Good luck!!

I don't unplug mine either, I've heard they want you to take out the fuses in case your battery is low, I guess it could cause your battery to die. There is 2 big fuses and 1 small one. I used to but not anymore.
