mac long tubes

I saw that mac offers long tube headers for our cars, and and x-pipe with cats to match them!! I live in Ny, which is right up there with CA with the Clean Air act, my question is for people in ca or ny that have the mac long tubes and/or after market cats. Will i pass the inspection, or be forced to change headers and cats back and forth?

RE: mac long tubes

Good question, PP
Some people are saying yes, you can. And some people are saying no, you can't do that.
I'm looking for a dual setup, something like that with the LT headers, X, Free-flow cats and mufflers.

RE: mac long tubes

i believe you have to switch them out before you do an inspection. I think mac also makes a dual set up that will bolt up to the stock cats. Plus why go with an x pipe? just go with the prochamber.
