i'm gonna try to get the tech book for the 4.0..
q: is the 4.2L in the new f-150 the same engine but w/ different displacement? if so, how does it have the extra disp? it has to be from stroke (for the extra torque) right?

the 4.2 from the F-150 isnt a OHC engine... ya i looked into it too. it's a pushrod engine

i know for a fact we have a decent amount of room for more stroke. again on the bore i beleive we are close to as far as we could safely take this block. a 4.5 stroker with proper head work and supporting mods would be a monster tho.

I am aussming since I think you mentioned its a 4.1you guyswent 30 over to sure up the cylinders should be around 250 c.i I believe, few questions what year 4.0 block are you using and are you using stock oemtiming chains and shaft? Were you guys able or did you beef up any these of theseitems and and or withcustom parts?

the 4.5L kit would be sick....that would be really nasty. Fast revs of a v6 with the displacement of a v8....o0o0o0o...well almost v8 haha

plus more durability with the iron block...a properly setup 4.5 with a blower/turbo= [&:] HOLY TORQUE BATMAN!
