Default Going for it! More Boost!

Hi,

After driving my car for about a week with 14psi, I gotta have more! My plan is to change over to the 2.62” pulley for 15-16psi. To be safe, I’m planning on switching to race fuel.

Just wait! Before everyone starts in –

It will only cost me $25 per week more than filling up with Sunoco 94 for $2.87 per gallon. I am able to get race fuel easily around my area, for $4.90 to $5.10 per gallon.

12 gallons x $2.87 = $34.44 per fill-up

12 gallons x $5.00 = $60.00 per fill-up.

60.00-35.00 = $25.00 or $1300 in a year.

Running race fuel will solve all the nightmare detonation/timing problems we all normally see. You can’t get crazy, but I should be able to sneak up on 15-16 degrees of advance.

I am estimating around 400-410rwhp when complete. I will also be removing the cats, and replacing them with small mufflers. I drive the car everyday, so I don’t want it loud. I have my appointment scheduled for April 10th,2007.

This time next year, I will be getting my wifes old Honda Civic to drive to work everyday. Then the race fuel is no big issue at all. In the mean time, I will just keep a few gallons at home just incase I need a quick top-off of fuel. My wife is buying a new Ford Fusion next April.

This will probably be one of the last mods, unless I choose to go into the motor in a couple years. I think there is only about 40hp or so to be gained inside, but good internals should extend the engine life.

I’ll post the final numbers when complete.

Thanks!
