If it is around 90 with stock 3.31 gears it is probably detonation. Same with under 60 uphill in 5th. Drop down to 4th, RPMs come up and ping goes away.
You guys with tuners: Isn't there a setting for timing for 2500+ RPM range? I swear I saw that in a post somewhere.
This would be the clincher for me if they had a tune for exactly that problem.
