Default About to put $1500 in my Mustang

So...I'm about to spend about $1500-2000 on my car and this is what I'm lookin at so far:

BIG AIR/TUNER/PULLEY KIT

--05-06 GT - DiabloSport Tuner D/SU7140
--C&L TrueFlow Intake Kit
--MotoBlue 20% Under-drive Crank Pulley Kit
--Helix Throttle Body Spacer

EXHAUST

--FlowMaster Mustang V6 American Thunder Axle-Back Kit (looking at getting a dual set-up with these)

HEADERS

--JBA Stainless Steel (409 Stainless) Shorty Header Kit ($100 more to go with Ceramic Silver)

TOTAL COST

--$1467.75

I found all this at RPMOUTLET.COM and was actually wondering about the tuner...does it matter if it says 05-06 GT? I'm wondering this because this tuner comes in a kit specified for the V6...was wondering why they would put a GT tuner with a V6...but I don't know much about tuners and for all I know GT could mean something else. Any suggestions?

Yes it matters if it says GT....I would order this from a site like Evolution Performance or B A M A or alternative auto (if u have an automatic). There you could get what you need. I've heard really, really bad customer service reviews and multiple ones about RPM outlet.com. I would steer clear of them if I was you.

I'm looking for the SCT Xcal2 Tuner...I don't need the kits that come with the CAI's just the tuner. Anyone know where I can find this tuner for less than $379.99? (No ebay please!) Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! I'm probably still going to get it but I'd like to save as much as possible. With mods I'm up to $1577.94. Which brings me to my next question...I found all this doing some research (opinion/suggestions appreciated!)

----AmericanMuscle.com----
SCT Xcalibrator 2 - $379.99 (Tuner)
----PerformanceCenter.com-
Steeda UnderDrive Pulley (Part # 701-0005-A) - $165.99
JBA Headers Titanium Ceramic Coated (Part # 1617JT) - $326.00
FlowMaster American Thunder (Part # 17421) - $347.98 <- This price is for 2 by the way
Throttle Body Spacer (Part # 450-613) - $94.99
AEM Brute Force Air Intake (Part # 21-8111DP) - $262.99
----TOTAL-----------------
$1577.94

Dont get underdrive pulleys or throttlebody spacers. The pulley doesnt give you more power it just slows the a/c and other components to get some power from them. Then the throttle body spacer is basically useless except maybe for looks.

Also get the SCTII from a performance shop like Evolution per. or Brenspeed.com. The ones that dont come from a performance shop i would say is a waste of money because they dont do tunes like a custom shop does. I have an Evolution tune and they have a great tune set up. Plus i wouldnt worry about headers right now because you wont see that great results for the money. Instead of the headers and pulley i would suggest 3.73 or 4.10 gears and an Limited Slip Differential. Im sure you would be more happy with those then the other parts since you would notice the difference from the gears and LSD.

Just trying to give advice, enjoy the modding!

Save your money on the headers, unless your going FI then you wont see significant gains at all.

If you get a Diablo, 05-06's need the U7140, and 07's need U7145. I almost had this problem but someone warned me jsut before I commited to buy.

If your gonna spend that much get stuff thats actually worth your money, get an intake and tune from one of the top tuners and then get gears and some kind of posi. I would suggest getting this package from VMP tuning: http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index...0&parent=0, comes with an intake, tuner, and GT take off muffler, and then I would suggest you to go to your local performance shop and get some pricing on getting gears either 3.73's or 4.10's and a posi which I would recomment a T-lok good price and theyve been holding up fine.
