Default stock and safe rev limiters

I'm sure if I hunted hard enough I could find a similar old thread, but here goes: what is the rev limiter set at for the s197 GTs? I bounced off it a couple of times, and wasn't very far over 6K. I have an xcal2, what is in everyone's opinion a safe range if I wanted to move it up a bit? I noticed that in this month's 5.0/4.6, in the project MILF article, they recorded max hp at 6300 rpm while ford advertises it at 5750.
So if the stock limiter's below 6300 I've got some potential hp to unlock just by plugging in the xcal, correct?
Thanks...

edit: stock limiter is 6250...

oops...
admin/mod, could this thread please be moved to v8 side? Accidentally put it on v6 side, I think it was the first thing I did this morning...
or maybe it should just die...found out that factory max hp is 5750, factory red is 6250, only 50rpms short of the mag's max hp number...IDK... anyone got anything to say; looking at my current and pending mods, anything to gain by bumping it up a little?

Richie,

You are possessed by the V6 side... LOL

Don't bump it up the extra 50...

Even dropping it 50 more could save your engine over time...

Longevity, whether 6 or 8, is the way...

Unless you make your living off of racing, it won't matter on the street.

Especially when you already beat that ricer by 5 car lengths...

LOL
