Why does my car Hesitate getting into gear?

Why does my car Hesitate getting into gear?
Preferably reverse, but it does it in almost all gears. It takes about 3 seconds to get into drive, but about 5 seconds to get into reverse. and when i turn corners it bluh bluh bluh as if its going out of gas then it catches on. Could it be cheap gas doing the second problem? The first one i am worried about though. My car is automatic

Mine does something similar, mainly when backing up and going from reverse to drive. The car will continue to roll backwards a couple seconds until the tranny switches to the forward gear. Caught me off gaurd the first time, but I've gotten used to it.
