My advice for the engine swap would be to use OEM parts. I did my 84 stangfrom a 4 cyl to a 302 and it was pretty easy using OEM. I bought engine mounts, wiring harnas, etc... If you start getting exotic then you better know your stuff about wiring because these new ones are so computer integrated it would be a nightmare! I like the idea. Pay for V6 insurance and get Power of V8 that is the only way I could afford car insurance when I was 16!

other than that car being a total sleeper the coolest part is it would make that sound.

Ya know,,,, the sound you get from Cube's and Compression.

I have one in the garage, it's a great car if you know how to take care of one. you can always swap the engine out for about $2500 but that gets pricey after a couple engines. I own 3 vw engines for it and never had any problem with whichever one I keep in the car since I keep up with that maintenance. Haven't ever had to replace a clutch either.

I imagine that if I had a GT I'd be replacing the clutch a lot.
