i did the passenger side tonight. it went well. good fit. i re-used the stock studs & nuts & bolts. even just one side was a big sound improvement. i had to make sure of no leaks. loosening the exhaust pipe at the clamp after the y was a big help. it allowed me to slide the cat pipeback far enough to removethe stock exhaust manifold.the factory nuts on the manifold weren't very tight. tomorrow night, the drivers side.hopefully quicker, i left it on jack stands with my tools waiting.

did the drivers side tonight. i was happy the egr matched right up. needed to make to small brackets to attach the coil bracket back to intake manifold & i need a longer bolt for the dipstick. sounds good. after running for a few mins & listening for leaks i put a jba single on & took it for a test drive. revs much freer. i followed billy's lead from an earlier post on this thread & re-used as many fasteners as possible and moved the tail pipe back for easy removal. with the 4.0 there's plenty of room to move around. all together about 5 hrs.

Well I did them myself, I have had great luck with them and as far as torqueing them down unless you are really burly you wont hurt a thing. I just tightened them as tight as possible and they wont hurt anything plus with the header design we have, good luck getting that torque wrench on some of the head bolt

Headers are a pain to put on. If you have the time and a guy or two to help you the go for it. I don't have time so I took mine to a shop and it cost me $90 to have it all done which I think was worth it.

if a shop only charged you $90 then you got a steal. thats less than $40/hour

ive done many sets of headers on s197's (v6 and v8) and have had no problems, but i wont install mac products

Yeah the local shop is great, the guy who does the exhaust does a great job and he doesn't charge more then he has to.
