Just bought the X3 and was trying to figure out how to best tune my 07 V6 Mustang. There seems to be a lag time in acceleration from a stop that has nearly gotten me into 2 different accidents. I am so used to stepping on the gas and going, this car has me bothered. What can I do to get rid of the lag time and boost my overall performance without killing my mileage? I don't mind dropping a few MPGs as long as the car responds better. Also I've had a few times where the car did not downshift how I thought it should and was slower getting me through traffic than it should have been. Also does anyone have a screen by screen flowchart of the SCT X3 program values and what each does in regards to performance or fuel economy? BTW American Muscle gave me a free tune based on my computer code so I'm trying to customize that one.

I suggest you contact Bama or Brenspeed etc... explain your concerns and what you want.
They can make your tune and email it to you. You can then load the emailed tune onto your tuner and install it on your car.
I have made some minor adjustments to my Bama tune, like LOWERING the fans temps, rev limiter and wot shift mph. These are pretty minor and safer(lower temps and rpm)changes though.

Buy a tune from VMP, Bama or any of the other well known tuners and that will take care of your lag problems! The difference in response is like night and day. If you had bought yourXcal from VMP, Bama or one of the major tuners you would have gotten 3 tunes with it. Hope you got a good deal from American Muscle.
