GT takeoff rear end

GT takeoff rear end
i have been looking into upgrading to a t-lok, and have desided that a stronger gt rear end with a t-lok installed would be a better way to go. ive seen them in mags. starting at $599, and on v6 mustang stuff web site starting at $569. my question starts with the mags. dont say anything about ABS, but the website does. will there be a differance? i havent heard of a gt that hasnt come with ABS but i could be wrong. my other question is my stang doesnt have ABS so would it be just a mater of pluging the whole where the ABS senser mounts, or not worry about it.

You don't have to worry about the ABS. Try www.newtakeoff.com
At newtakeoff you can buy the rear end with the flange, so it attachs to your V6 driveshaft no problem.

Yes. If you order it with a V6 flange pre-installed.
The ABS portion of the V8 8.8 rear end is exciter
rings that inform the ABS module the individual
tire speeds via sensor ring pick-ups. You dont
have the pick-ups but the exciter rings are
already on the 8.8 but you just wont use them.
No holes to 'plug' because you dont have ABS.
Now to just decide on what gear ratio to get as well.

I think this is the second best mod you can do to our Mustang V6s. Almost a must have after getting a cai/tuner. Don't worry about ABS the axle will work with no problem. Its a good do it yourself install too, just remove and replace(with the help of a couple of friends). Its heavy! Good Luck!

mostly looking for eas of installation. ive changed out full rear end asemblies on trucks at work but never gears. mostly replacing wecked ones with ones from the wrecking yard, same options ABS or non-ABS. i just was unsure about the ABS option. just gonna stick with what i know. thanks

I put in a 8.8 from a car that had antilocks, and mine doesn't have them. Was no issue since I had no sensors on my car. The rear end swap is easy (except for removing and putting back on the upper control arm support bushing ...that was a pita).
