you will need Z rated tires, a 6 pt roll cage, 5 pt harness, upgraded drive shaft, fire suit, helmet, an a race track

There is a link in the stickies for the mycolor retrofit. The problem with all of these upgrades in the speedo will not read correctly. The dealer would have to reprogram it i think.

Hence the comment about the Tx Mile .

Its not illegal to drive 300mph but it is dangerous.
It is illegal to drive 90mph on public roads.
It is dangerous to drive at all.
You need more than a 6 point roll cage to go over 300mph.
People die all the time walking through parking lots.
Everything is risk .
Driving fast is not illegal.

Your a life saver

I was allready thinking of trying to make my own speedo plate that read 240mph and see if I could use a tuner to set the tire diameter to read twice as fast so if I had the original plate on the speedo it would read 20mph when I am going 40mph. 50mph would then be 100mph and so on.I don't know if the perimeters will let you change it that much but I wanted to try.

Well, can't a tune fix that? Can doug at bama change it so the speedo reads correctly?

If I were you I'd go with the Saleen cluster, looks most clean.

If I were you, I'd get some nice wide Z rated tires, alumn driveshaft, and a nice straight road with no bumps. After that I'm pretty sure there shouldn't be any major problems unless they're winds up to like 50 mph drafting your car off the road.. Also does your car have a spoiler delete?

the saleen seems hard to find and more expencive.

spoiler delete .No.. but aero tune will be a priority . I wont be using the stock spoiler.

A larger spoiler would plant the rear firmer to the ground. The more aero, the better. Also lowering the car would be a good idea.

I was going to also put on front spoilers more like a time attack car would be set up . I know this will lower my top speed but the trade off will be confidence in its handling at higher speeds. A nice diffuser in the rear is on my list also.

I like having a limited speedo and watch the needle go past 120mph and go in the glove box!
